School Administration
The Village Charter School has a Board of Directors which serves as the governing body of our school. Made up of elected volunteer parents, teachers, staff and community members, this group meets every other week throughout the year, and is responsible for guiding, decision-making and direction-setting for the school. The Board directly oversees enrollment, finances and personnel.
Administrative functions are served by our part-time Administrative Coordinator, who interfaces with parents, students and staff, and is directly responsible to the Board.
VCS Foundation
Upon receiving our nonprofit organization status in 2005, the VCS Foundation was created, which oversees all fundraising to benefit the school. The Foundation works in collaboration with the Council to determine the priorities for allocating these funds, which help our school in many ways, from classroom supplies and instructional assistants, to teacher education, outreach and more.
